Know your Fabric- Kotpad Handwoven from the looms of tribal Odisha by the tribal Mirgan community.it acquired Geographical Indication(GI)tag for the natural dyeing process involved in kotpad. The dyeing is primarily done by the womenfolk. Dyeing of the fabric involves using aal powder(made from the bark of the Indian Madder tree), castor oil, cow dung, and ash powder. The entire dyeing process takes 15 days.
- This outfit can be worn in three ways.
- You can wear it as a dress, also can team it up with contrast culottes or as an overlay.
- Kotpad organic cotton fabric with pinstripes.
- Pre-washed fabric.
- Pochampally cotton ikkat is used in the detailing of the collar, sleeves, and pockets.
- Front open with coconut shell/wooden buttons.
- Unlined.
- The length of the dress is 38-40.
- The model is wearing size XS and the height of the model is 160 cm
Care Instructions:
- The colors are mixed using natural elements and might rub off. You can get it dry cleaned before use to remove any surface dyes.
- Cold wash separately with mild detergent.
- Do not scrub.
- Line dry in shade, inside out.
